About Serendiva Isle

Who we are

Serendiva Isle is a Malaysian brand built on a simple belief: spices should taste like where they come from. We source directly from Sri Lanka and bring authentic Sri Lankan spices to cooks in Malaysia looking for something more honest than a generic shelf product.

Sri Lanka has a long and respected spice tradition, shaped by its climate, landscape, and generations of cultivation. The result is spice with real depth, character, and identity.

As a brand shaped by Sri Lankan roots and Malaysian everyday life, Serendiva Isle comes from lived experience: knowing these spices well, cooking with them often, and seeing how hard they were to find locally in a pure, honest form.

Our aim is to make these spices easier to find, easier to trust, and easier to enjoy in everyday cooking.

Why we started

Serendiva Isle began with a simple frustration: the spices that give Sri Lankan food its true flavour were hard to find in Malaysia in an honest, straightforward form.

Too often, what was available was blended, diluted, mislabelled, or altered with colouring, additives, thickening agents, or fillers. We wanted to start with a small range and do it properly: Ceylon cinnamon, raw curry powder, Jaffna curry powder, black pepper, cloves, and chilli powder.

Our focus is on pure spice. No flour or starches to bulk it out. No colouring to make it look brighter than it is. Just the spice itself, as it should be.

Ceylon spices are distinct, and not easy to find in Malaysia. Sri Lankan food has a flavour of its own, shaped by generations of cooking, local ingredients, and tradition.

For us, this is personal. People fall in love with Sri Lankan food in many ways, through home-cooked meals, Sri Lankan restaurants in Malaysia, or while travelling in Sri Lanka. Serendiva Isle exists to make those flavours easier to find, easier to trust, and better known.

Our connection to Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka, historically known as Ceylon, has been a source of prized spices for traders across Asia, Arabia, and Europe for over two thousand years. Cinnamon, pepper, cardamom, and cloves were among the spices that made the island famous and shaped its history.

That heritage continues in the way spices are grown and processed on the island today. The knowledge is generational. The climate is still the same. We source from that tradition directly, and we are grateful for what it produces.

What you can expect from us
